Equal Housing Opportunity. Aaron Benson is committed to fair housing and equal opportunity. He works with every client without discrimination and follows federal, Arizona and local fair housing laws.
Federal law
The federal Fair Housing Act makes it illegal to discriminate in the sale, rental or financing of housing, or in advertising it, because of:
- race
- color
- religion
- sex
- national origin
- familial status (households with children under 18, and people who are pregnant)
- disability
It’s enforced by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
Arizona law
The Arizona Fair Housing Act protects the same groups, and also prohibits retaliation against anyone who exercises their fair housing rights. It’s enforced by the Civil Rights Division of the Arizona Attorney General’s Office. Some Arizona cities add protections of their own.
How this site follows it
- Area pages describe places and housing: lots, homes, HOAs, setting and walkability. They don’t describe who lives in an area or who an area is “for,” and they carry no demographic data.
- Every page shows the Equal Housing Opportunity statement in its footer.
