Accessibility statement

Aaron Benson wants everyone to be able to use this website, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard, magnification or other assistive technology.

The standard

The site aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.

What that means here

• Every page works with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline.
• Every page’s text is in the page itself, and it works without JavaScript.
• Form fields have labels, and errors say what to fix.
• Text and controls meet WCAG contrast ratios, and buttons and links are at least 44 pixels tall.
• Photos have text descriptions.
• If you’ve asked your device to reduce motion, the walk-through’s slow zoom and fades are turned off.
• The site is tested with automated checks (axe and Lighthouse) and by hand with a keyboard.

Known limitations

• The street map is visual. The list of areas beside it carries the same information, and every area can be chosen from the list.
• Aaron’s listings show only the details the data provider supplies, and may have no photos.
