Arizona is filled with diverse landscape; and our favorite Arizona scenery, just so happens to be, our epic lake views! Arizonians are pros at enjoying lake activities. Some of which include, boating, paddle boarding, cliff jumping, and kayaking! Below is a list, of Arizona lakes, that offer the best of these activities!
Lake Pleasant- Peoria, AZ
Lake Pleasant is one of (if not) the most popular lakes to visit for Phoenicians! It offers panoramic views of the Arizona desert, and some hidden coves great for cliff jumping. One thing that makes this lake unique, is its’ marina! It is home to one of the largest floating waterslides, ‘H20-Woah’. Arizonians will tell you, that a ride on this slide, is perfect way to “send it”.
Tempe Town Lake- Tempe, AZ
At the center of Sun Devil territory, is a man-made lake, that offers some of the coolest urban views The Valley has to offer. This water stays smooth, and glassy 24/7, and is the perfect spot to enjoy a little paddle boarding, and kayaking! Many dub this spot as one of Phoenix’s best date ideas. Paddle boats are also available for rent; so grab a bottle of wine, a rented paddle boat, and watch the sunset in style.
Lake Powell- Page, AZ
Are you ready for some of the most epic canyon views Arizona has to offer? Lake Powell is 100% that place! Many Arizonan’s, flock from all over the state, to Lake Powell for July 4th and 3-Day Weekend celebrations! If you like a good party, definitely put this spot on your bucket list!
Saguaro Lake- Mesa, AZ
Adrenaline junkies rejoice! Saguaro Lake has some of the best cliff jumping in The Valley! Best part? You don’t need a boat to reach a lot of the best spots! Easy-to-hike to spots are not too far from the marina! However, if you like a challenge, I highly recommend taking the 4.9 mile trek, out and back, to Butcher Jones Recreation Site! This spot has some of the clearest water Arizona has to offer, and a sandy beach!
