Explore Outside of the Valley

EXPLORE OUTSIDE OF THE VALLEY

The Valley is a great place to be. That is no secret. However, Arizona Summers are some of the highest temps many will ever experience. It is not uncommon for us Phoenicians to start planning our next weekend getaway, to avoid the heat.
The Valley is a great place to be. That is no secret. However, Arizona Summers are some of the highest temps many will ever experience. It is not uncommon for us Phoenicians to start planning our next weekend getaway, to avoid the heat. We are pretty, lucky, considering we only need about 2hrs, a car and our sense of adventure to get some relief.

Curious where your next adventure lies? Well, it could very well be one of these destinations, below!

Sedona, AZ

The Drive into Sedona is something everyone should experience, at least once. It takes your breath away. After about 2hrs of climbing elevation, you are greeted by the most epic of views. The red rocks catch the sunlight, and the entire vortex glows. It is such a magical place. Between the hiking, the dining, the wineries, and the vibey energy…you feel like you have entered a whole new world! If you’re looking for a vacation, that will send you home totally refreshed…look no further.

Flagstaff, AZ

You’re going to need to travel just a little further North to hit this popular college town. Flagstaff is the classic, hippy, mountain town. You have your quirky restaurants and bars, stunning lakes and hikes, and of course Snowbowl! If you’re into snow sports, and log cabins, then this may be the perfect spot for you to enjoy. Pro tip: Make sure you stop by Hotel Monte Vista…it is supposedly very haunted!

Jerome, AZ

There are 3 wine tasting rooms in a square block. Need I say more? This teeny-tiny town of only 500 people, is one of the oldest in Arizona. A popular Wild West town, Jerome was bustling at one point! Now, it’s a sleepy little getaway, built into the side of a mountain just outside of Cottonwood. Known for its haunted hotels, eclectic vibes, and wine enthusiasts, Jerome is, hands-down, the most unique place to visit in Arizona. I highly suggest visiting around Halloween! The entire town gets really into it.

Monument Valley – Four Corners

Driving into Monument Valley is breathtaking. The flat landscape coupled with the epic landmarks is something that you can’t really describe. It has to be experienced. Monument Valley provides this sort-of peace and sense of freedom, that only the most beautiful of places could deliver. We recommend renting a 4-wheeler, or booking a tour; so you can really take it all in.

Arizona is so much more than just Phoenix, and other urban cities. It has an array of different landscapes, natural environments, and surroundings. It just isn’t a true Arizona experience, until you experience the best of everything.
